PSALM 37: 3-5
Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land, and you safe. te-delight in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust him, and he will do.
PSALM 13: 1-6
How long, O Lord, will you forget me? forever? Will you hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Give light to my eyes lest I sleep the sleep of death; so that my enemy say: I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
MATTHEW 6: 25-34
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you much more valuable than them?
And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature? And what I will wear, why you walk forward? Consider the lilies of the field grow; neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of them. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or 'What shall we wear? (For after all these things the Gentiles seek.) For your heavenly Father knows that you need all this. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added. Do not worry, for the morrow; because tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil.
